Makeup of the Day!

Hey girls! I'm back with another post,
and today's look is just going to go through
what i'm wearing today from start to finish!
So if you girls would like to see how I got this look
and the products I used, then just keep reading :)

1st Step
Face Products:

Sephora Pore Filler Face Primer
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer
L'Oreal True Match Foundation
Sephora Mattifying Powder

Before applying my foundation I primed my face with
my Sephora primer, that fills in pores and creates an even
surface for foundation application. It also helps to
make your makeup last all day long.
Next conceal dark circles and any blemishes you may
have. The Age Rewind Concealer works wonders
for hiding dark under eye circles.
Foundation is next and today I tried out the L'Oreal True match
and I must say I absolutely love it! My shade is a newer shade
to the line and is in perfect beige. I dotted my foundation all over
my face and then blending it in using a medium sized flat top kabuki.
Lastly, take a mattifying powder and apply
to you T-zone or any where you might get oily
throughout the day.

Second Step
Eyes:

BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Maybelline Mega Plush and Falsies Mascara
Sephora Liquid Eye Liner

So for the eyes its very important to use a primer so that
your shadow stay put all day as eyelids tend to get very greasy
causing makeup to crease.
I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion and use it everyday-its amazing.
Once you've primed your eyes, I took a fluffy blending brush
and took a purply brown colour (2nd row from top, 2nd shadow on left)
and blended it into the crease to act as a blending colour.
Next I took a shimmery white colour, and placed that on the
inner half of my eyes to brighten it up.
Using a small smudging brush, I took a medium matte brown shade
(1st row, 6th shade from the left)
and worked that into the outer V of my eye.
Take a large fluffy blending brush and blend together.
Next I used a darker brown shade with some shimmer
(2nd row, 4th shade from the right)
and used that to darken up the outer V a little more.
Once I got it to a shade I was happy with, I again
took the large blending brush and blending everything together
so there were no harsh lines.
For highlighting I used the same shimmery white colour and
placed it on my brow bone and inner tear duct.
Next I used my favourite liquid liner and did a very simple
winged look.
Lastly for mascara I used two coats of the Mega Plush and one
coat of the Falsies.
Now the eyes are complete.

Step 3
Blush and Contour:

Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush
Elf Blush and Contour set

Now you can do this step before doing your eyes
however I like to leave it till the end while
I'm waiting for my liquid eyeliner to dry.
Take a small contour brush and use a dark bronzy shade
to contour the hollows of your cheeks.
I love the one from elf and have practically nothing left.
For blush I wanted something very light and mousse blush
is perfect for summer as it doesn't look to heavy or cakey.
This shade is called Berry Rose and it is such
a subtle pink and gives the appearance of a sun kissed glow.
Lastly, take a large kabuki brush and blend everything.

Final Step
Lips:

Revlon's Prim Rose
Nyx Lipgloss

Keeping with the pink theme on my cheeks,
I chose this very light nude pink lipstick so as
to keep the focus on my eyes.
I added a little bit of a pink shimmery lipgloss
and the look is now complete!

REVIEW: BH Cosmetics Palettes!

Hey girls! I am so excited for this post because I
have been trying out these products for the past week
so I could get this post up as soon as possible!
I recently placed an order with BH Cosmetics, and was
really surprised with how fast their products came.
Now usually when I order from places that ship from the States, it usually
takes 3-4 weeks for me to receive my products but my palettes from
BH Cosmetics came in only 2 weeks!
I used the two makeup palettes everyday and chose
3 looks that I will post down below and after the review
I want you all to vote on which look you would like
to see a step by step breakdown on how to achieve it!
So if you want to learn more about these palette then just keep reading :)

So the two palettes I ordered were the 88 Tropical Shimmer Palette and
the Party Girl Palette!
I had been wanting to make a purchase from them for forever
and since they were recently having a sale, I decided to just order it!
With shipping and all I payed 35$ for both palettes and think thats a
pretty good deal.

Here are some pictures of the palettes and some swatches.

Party Girl Palette on Right 88 on Left
 88 Tropical Matte Swatches

Party Girl Palette

Alrighty, so after trying out these palettes for the last week and half
I absolutely loveee the Party Girl Palette the most!
The 88 Tropical Matte Palette although it has the most colour selection,
the colour pigmentation is not as good as I hoped for.
Just from the swatches below you can see that the colours look
almost like pastels. I did however find that if you layer on the colour and
use a good primer and base that the colour does appear brighter on the eye.
The Party Girl Palette which is limited edition and I highly recommend you
get it, is AMAZING!
The colour pigmentation is outstanding and lasts almost all day!
The amount of looks you can achieve with these palettes is unlimited
and can work for any occasion.
For the price, its value is definitely unbeatable and is a must have
for any girls collection.

Now for the fun stuff! Below are 3 looks that were my favourite
this week! Each one is different and I used both palettes in each look!
So after deciding which look you like the best
please leave a comment below and tell me which one you would like
to see a step by step outline on how to achieve!
So without further adieu here are the looks!

Look #1: Neutral Shimmer

Look #2: Copper Neutral

Look #3: Sunrise

Alrighty ladies so I hope you enjoyed this review and
please remember to vote on which look you'd like to see
re-done step by step in my next post!
Thanks for reading :)

NOTD: Lincoln Park After Dark

Hey everyone! Today's post will be a Nail Of the Day!
I always loved finding new nail colours so I thought you guys might enjoy this
kind of post as well!
I've had fake nails on now for a few months and the colour i chose
this time around did not last as long as I hoped for so I decided to just do my
my own design :)

So because my nails are quite long, the dark colour just did not suit the whole
nail so I decided to paint just the tips. I choose Lincoln Park After Dark because
it is one of my favourite colours that can be worn with anything.

This colour is absolutely gorgeous and is a purple based nail polish that comes off
almost black on the nails but shines purple in the light.

I finished the look off with a silver sparkly line just underneath just to
add a little something ;)

If you haven't tried out this colour from OPI I highly suggest it, it has amazing
colour payoff and usually only needs 1 layer most times!

If you have any questions please leave them below and remember to
give the page a follow if you would like to see more!

What's your favourite nail polish colour?

REVIEW: New Maybelline Products!

Hey girls! Today I will be reviewing two of Maybelline's newest
 products to hit the market:
the Mega Plush Volume Express Mascara and the Dream Fresh Beauty Balm!
So if you girls would like to know my opinion on these products then lets
get started!

Lets start with the Mega Plush Volume Express Mascara!
When I first heard about this mascara, I knew I had to give it a try. Maybelline
is my favourite brand for mascaras and have given practically all of them a try.
This mascara claims to be a mousse-gel formula that does not flake or
leave lashes feeling hard or brittle and I have to agree that it stands up to its claims.
I have used the mascara everyday for the last 3 weeks and my favourite
thing about it is its ability to withstand the heat of the summer by not flaking or
smudging through out the day!
This mascara is super long wearing and is perfect for those hot summer days.
The packaging in super cute and eye-catching and what about the brush
you might ask? -- AMAZING! The brush is pretty large but has
a flexible wand that allows for a very natural look without clumping.
If your desired look is for something more dramatic I would not recommend
this mascara as it is super light-weight and comes off very natural and is more
for an everyday makeup look.
Overall I would rate this mascara an 9 out of 10
and would recommend everyone to give it a try!
You can find it at any drugstore fore about 10$.

Next is the new Dream Fresh Beauty Balm!
Truth be told I stumbled upon this product by accident and had no
idea that Maybelline had released a product like this so I was super excited to give
it a try! This Beauty Balm is the perfect face product for summer!
It provides light-weight coverage with spf 30! You will never
have to worry about applying oily sunscreen before you leave the house
with this product! Although this product is not a full coverage foundation,
it is however extremely build able. The product starts off
relatively sheer but as you continue to work it in it does provide
moderate coverage without looking cakey.
I usually set this product with a setting powder just to make sure
it does not go anywhere as the day goes on.
The product does wear off by the end of the day but it leaves your face
with a healthy glow and I have noticed that my skin is looking a lot
brighter without any product on.
The only downfall to this product for me is the smell. I usually am not too
bothered by the way products smell, but this one I cannot get over.
However the benefits of this foundation definitely outweigh the smell
and for that reason I would rate this product an 8 out of 10 and can be
found in any drugstore for about 12$.

I hope you all enjoyed this review and found it helpful and if you have given these
products a try I would love to hear your opinions in the comments below!

JUNE FAVOURITES!

Hey girls, today's blog is going to be my JUNE Favourites where I show you guys
what products I have been loving this month! I have quite a few different products
this month and I hope you find this post helpful
and I would love to hear what you guys have been loving
so leave a comment below and I'll be sure to check it out :)

So my absolute favvvvourite product this month was my new Roberto Cavalli perfume!
First of all I am obsessed with the packaging as it has an animal
print and turquoise themeand the product smells absolutely amazing! The perfume is new
for 2012 and I find that it wears better throughout the day and takes on a
different scent as the day progresses. If you haven't had the chance
to smell it i highly recommend you do, it is the perfect scent for any women!

My next favourite products are two mascaras by Maybelline:
Plush Volume Express and The Falsies.
The Falsies has been around now for sometime it is my go-to mascara!
It is roughly 8$ and is my favourite drugstore mascara that I
have re-purchased at least 10 times. The unique brush makes my lashes
look unbelievable! It lengthens, volumizes and thickens all in one and is my holy grail.
Everyone needs this mascara! When I heard that Maybelline had a new
mascara out I just had to try it! The Plush Volume Express looks
very similar to the Falsies except the colours are reversed!
The packaging is super cute and this mascara is a mouse based formula
that leaves lashes extremely soft. The mascara wears amazingly well
throughout the day and never flakes and is super easy to take off at night.
The only downfall to this mascara is I wished it held a curl better, but if you're
looking for length   then you should definitely give this a try! Try layering these
two together and it is a knockout combo!

My favourite concealer has been the Instant Age Rewind Concealer that you
can find at any drugstore for about 10$. This has been my go-to concealer
 since the day I got it! It is AMAZING!  I can not say enough about this concealer;
it is so easy to blend out and does not crease as the day goes on.
Mine is in the colour Medium and it is the perfect shade for anyone with a darker complexion.

My favourite brush this month is the Baby Dome Brush from
Royal and Langnickel that I
bought from IMATS last year and is the perfect brush for blending
out foundation and applying contour to the hollows of the cheek.
I am obsessed with this brush and use it
for anything that I can!

My Favourite face products this month have been Maybelline's new Dream Fresh BB Cream
Mac's highlighter in Rose and Sephora's matte foundation in Tan.
Maybelline's BB Cream is a new product and I bought it for 11$
at Shoppers Drug Mart. This product is PERFECT for the summer as it has SPF 30
and is such a lightweight formula with just enough coverage that doesn't
leave you feeling like you're wearing a mask. I got mine in the colour Medium Deep
and the line has a wide variety of colours.
Sephora's Matte Foundation I have been using as my setting powder to
keep me matte all day as I have oily skin.
I apply this product down my T-zone and always have it in my purse
just in case. You can find this product at Sephora stores for 20$.

Rose Highlighter by MAC

This highlighter is AMAZING! A friend of mine gave it to me for my birthday and
I am obsessed with it! It is the perfect highlight and would look great on any skin tone.
It is a rose colour with gold shimmer and perfectly highlights your cheekbones.

These swatches are NYX Jumbo Pencils in Yorgut and Milk.
I have been using these as all over bases or even to highlight my brow bone.
I bought them from IMATS last year and they are just amazing.
They are extremely creamy and soo easy to blend out and you could use them
for absolutely anything! LOVE THEM!

My last favourite is my new Heat Protectant Spray from Sally's Beauty Supply
It is by Silk Elements and contains Olives and Shea Butter and leaves my hair soooo silky!
I mist it all over my hair before blow drying and again before straightening and it has
done wonders to fix my split ends and is seriously a miracle worker. If your in the market
for a new heat protectant (and it is extremely important to use one) then I definitely
recommend this one and it is only 7$!

So thats it for my JUNE FAVOURITES, I hope you found it helpful! Please subscribe and
leave a comment about a product you've been loving this month!
